750 HIS Beneficiaries
The Maikaya Development Foundation (MDF) marked a significant milestone in its mission to expand healthcare access, as it successfully enrolled 750 beneficiaries into the Nasarawa State Health Insurance Scheme. This initiative was launched by His Excellency, Engr. AA Sule, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, who was represented by Hon. Gaza Gwamna, the Commissioner for Health. At the event, several registered beneficiaries received their health insurance cards in a symbolic presentation, underscoring the foundation’s commitment to inclusive healthcare. Prominent state figures gathered in support of this community-focused initiative, led by the CEO of MDF, Muhammed Maikaya (Ciroman Toto). Dignitaries present included Hon. Safiyanu Isah Andaha, ALGON Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Haliru Arabo, Chairman of Lafia LGC, and Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya, Chairman of Toto LGA. The event also saw the attendance of health, local government, and community leaders such as Dr. Yahaya Ubam, Executive Secretary of NASHIA, and Dr. Egba Edego, CMD of the Nasarawa State Hospital Management Board.
